About ReadEasy Exeter

We are a local charity run entirely by volunteers, teaching adults to read. Affiliated to ReadEasy UK, our mission is to reach the 5 million adults in England and Wales who do not have functional literacy skills. We use a coaching approach, working with individuals on a 1:1 basis, working at a speed and in an environment that is safe and comfortable for our readers ( many of whom have chaotic lives and complex needs). Learning to read gives them a tool and the confidence to take control of other aspects of their lives and to fulfil their potential
