About Money and Pensions Service

The Government’s Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is an arm’s-length body sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, and we also advise HM Treasury on policy matters relating to financial capability and debt advice. We provide independent, impartial and free money and pensions guidance to anyone who needs it. We are fully funded by a levy on the financial services and pensions sectors.

Money worries are the biggest cause of stress for SW employees. They are damaging to business too, often resulting in staff sickness and loss of productivity.
